What is the Microsoft AI Workshop for Educators?

The Microsoft Artificial Intelligence (AI) Workshop is for educators at higher-education institutions, technical colleges, and other post-secondary institutions. This workshop from Sunset Learning provides institutions with the knowledge and skills to include AI-related training in their courses and programs of study.

The AI Workshop for Educators trains educators and faculty on Copilot and Microsoft AI solutions that will help education teams develop an effective approach to bringing AI content from the AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals and AI-102: Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution into an AI training program that empowers students with the skills needed to succeed in an AI-driven job market.

 

Objectives of the Microsoft AI Workshop for Educators:

  1. Build the capability to integrate AI skills development into their existing curricula. Specifically, the AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals and AI-102: Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution Microsoft official courseware.

  2. Gain the skills in Generative AI and Azure AI tools and technologies.

  3. Provide guided curriculum integration.

  4. Provide guidance on getting credentialed in AI.

  5. Deliver an overview of the Microsoft Learn for Educators (MSLE) program, its benefits, resources, content related to AI, and how to join.

  6. Connect educators and students to Microsoft Learn Career Connected (MLCC).

This program is designed to empower university professors with the knowledge and tools necessary to develop and deliver an effective AI curriculum. It focuses on practical teaching methods, curriculum integration, and fostering an ethical understanding of AI among students.

PREREQUISITES

All attendees prior to attending this course should have attended the AI-900 class and the A1-102 class through MS Learn. This workshop will not teach these courses it will focus on how to build a course curriculum and how to teach core topics from those two primary courses.
