Gordon has over 25 years of management experience with high-energy, high-growth companies in emerging technologies. Gordon began his technical career in the U.S. Marines where he was trained to be an aviation communications technician. During his 9 years in the Corps Gordon served in multiple technical roles to include two tours as a technical instructor. After leaving the Corps Gordon relocated to the Silicon Valley in California, the center of high tech innovation.
Over the next 20 years Gordon worked for a number or high technology companies in a broad spectrum of disciplines to include: Aerospace, Automatic Testing, High-Resolution Graphics Devices, Mini Computers, and Networking. Gordon graduated with an MBA from the Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University. Gordon was able to quickly leverage his practical experience and formal education to take on roles of increasing responsibility and management oversight.
In 1992, Gordon was recruited to Cisco Systems as their Customer Training Manager. His leadership in that role was instrumental in creating the Cisco Systems Learning Partner program that has gained recognition as being one of the most successful learning channel programs in the world. Since leaving Cisco Systems he has served as the Chief Operating Officer for several technology based learning companies, including Sunset Learning Institute.
